Confirmed: Realme GT 8 Pro houses 7000mAh battery with 120W charging plus wireless support

Realme affirmed earlier rumors about the battery and charging capabilities of the yet-to-be-announced Realme GT 8 Pro.

The new GT series will be officially unveiled in China this Tuesday. After providing the details of its design and camera system, the brand is back to reveal the phone’s battery capacity and charging information.

According to the Chinese manufacturer, the GT 8 Pro has a huge 7000mAh battery and supports 120W wired and 50W wireless charging. To compare, the GT 7 Pro only has a 6500mAh cell. While its predecessor also has a 120W charging speed, it lacks the wireless charging capability. As per the brand, the new model can charge from 0 to 50% within 15 minutes.

Both the Realme GT 8 and GT 8 Pro are expected to offer a 2K 144Hz display, a 3D ultrasonic sensor, and metal frames. The Pro will also feature a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 SoC, an R1 gaming graphics chip, and Android 16-based Realme UI 6. It is also expected to arrive with IP66/68/69 ratings, better haptics, a swappable camera module design, the new Smart Window feature, and a trio of camera lenses (50MP LYT-808 1/1.4″ main camera with OIS + 50MP JN5 ultrawide + 200MP 1/1.56″ HP5 periscope telephoto with telemacro).
