Realme GT 8 houses same Ricoh GR tech as Pro; Colorways, other specs revealed

Realme confirmed several details about the vanilla GT 8 model. One includes its camera, which is said to be armed with the same Ricoh GR imaging as its Pro sibling.

Realme will unveil the series in China this Tuesday. In the past few weeks, however, the company has been heavily focusing only on the Pro model. Thankfully, a day ahead of the lineup’s arrival, the brand has decided to share some of the key details of the base variant.

According to Realme, the phone will be offered in Navi, White, and Green. The company also shared photos of the said color options. The material also confirms its circular camera island, although it is unknown if it also supports the swappable module feature that its Pro counterpart has.

Aside from the camera island design, Realme also said that the vanilla model has the same Ricoh GR technologies as the GT 8 Pro. This includes the five Ricoh GR tones (high-contrast black and white, positive, negative, standard, and monochrome), the Ricoh GR anti-glare main camera, immersive viewfinder mode, Ricoh GR classic style shutter, custom photo watermarks, and more.

According to reports, the Realme GT 8 will also offer a Snapdragon 8 Elite chip, a dedicated graphics chip, a flat 2K 144Hz BOE Q10+ display with a 3D ultrasonic sensor, a periscope telephoto unit, 100W charging, a metal middle frame, and IP66/68/69 ratings. It is expected to be offered at around CN„3000 in China.
