The Redmi 17 5G and Redmi 17 4G have finally been officially launched in the global market.
The Redmi phones share many similarities, including in their design, which features a square camera island. They also sport a programmable RGB light on the back that offers users visual notifications.
The 4G model (also available in Europe) comes with a MediaTek Helio G91-Ultra and eMMC 5.1 storage, while its 5G counterpart (also available in a Chinese version) has the Snapdragon 4 Gen 5 and UFS 2.2 storage.
Details being shared by the phones include a 6.9″ 1600 x 720px 120Hz IPS LCD, a 50MP main camera, an 8MP selfie camera, a 7500mAh battery, 45W wired and 22.5W reverse wired charging, an IP64 rating, a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and NFC support.

The Redmi 17 4G comes in Oak Green, Deep Blue, Black, and Lotus Purple shades, and starts at MYR 669 ($163).

The Redmi 17 5G, on the other hand, has a base price of MYR 769 ($188), and is available in Black, Deep Blue, and Vivid Orange.
