Xiaomi has introduced the Redmi A2 series in India, comprising two phones: Redmi A2 and Redmi A2+. Although there are a few differences between the two models, we will cover the Redmi A2 series first and explain the differences between two new smarrphones. Redmi A2 series: Redmi A2 & Redmi A2+
Both phones in Redmi A2 series are equipped with MediaTek Helio G36 chipset and feature a 6.52-inch HD resolution (1600 x 720) display with a 60 Hz refresh rate . The screen brightness measures at 400 nits. Both phones feature three diffrent colors: Aqua Blue, Classic Black, Sea Green.
Xiaomi states that both the A2 and A2+ weigh 192 grams and have a thickness of 9.09 mm. Additionally, both phones are equipped with a 5000 mAh battery, and a 10W charging adapter is included in the package. At the back of the phones, there is a dual camera setup consisting of an 8 MP main camera and a depth sensor. Furthermore, a 5 MP selfie camera is located on the front.
Both phones feature a 3.5mm headphone jack and a 2+1 SIM slot. It is possible to expand the phone’s storage using a microSD card, even you have two SIM cards are inserted simultaneously. These are very affordable devices from Xiaomi but unfortunately both A2 and A2+ feature Micro USB port instead of USB Type-C.
Differences between Redmi A2 and Redmi A2+
We can say that the biggest difference between the phones is the fingerprint. While the Vanilla Redmi A2 does not have a fingerprint, if you need a fingerprint sensor, you can opt for Redmi A2+. However, considering that these phones are priced below 100 USD, there is no room for complaints. Furthermore, both phones run Android 13 out of the box (Go Edition).
Another difference is in the RAM and storage configuration. Redmi A2 comes in two variants, 2GB+32GB and 4GB+64GB, while Redmi A2+ only comes in one variant and it is 4GB+64GB.
