Redmi K90 Max debuts with D9500 SoC, Xiaomi D2 chip, cooling fan, 8500mAh cell, Bose speakers

The Redmi K90 Max is finally here, targeting gaming fans looking for a smartphone upgrade.

The new Redmi K90 series model is built with gamers in mind. It is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9500 chip, paired with up to 16GB LPDDR5X RAM, up to 1TB of UFS 4.1 storage, and even a Xiaomi D2 graphics chip. There’s a huge 8500mAh battery inside the phone, which supports 100W wired, 22.5W reverse wired, and bypass charging.

The huge cell keeps the power on for the phone’s 6.83″ 2722 x 1280px 165Hz AMOLED with an in-display ultrasonic fingerprint scanner. At the back, it boasts a 50MP 1/1.55″ Light Hunter 800 with OIS. It also features Bose speakers for perfect audio during video playback and gaming.

Speaking of games, to keep the phone’s performance at optimal levels, it also boasts a built-in cooling fan. It is paired with a 6000mm2 vapor chamber, and Xiaomi claims the system can reduce the phone’s temperature by 10 degrees. 

The device is available in Space Silver, Sky Blue, and Shadow Black. Its configurations include 12GB/256GB, 12GB/512GB, 16GB/256GB, 16GB/512GB, and 16GB/1TB. It starts at CNY3,199, and tops out at CNY4,699.
