A new leak refutes an earlier tip about the processor of the upcoming Redmi K90 Ultra. According to the claim, the phone will also offer a built-in fan that is dust- and water-resistant.
The Redmi K90 series impressed fans upon its arrival with sound-focused features. Now, we are expecting the Ultra variant of the lineup. We have previously heard about some of the smartphone’s specifications, and Digital Chat Station is now back to provide new details. Interestingly, DCS claims that the model will only use the regular Dimensity 9500 chip, rather than the earlier rumored Dimensity 9500+ SoC.
Recall that the Redmi K60 Ultra, K70 Ultra, and K80 Ultra were equipped with the Dimensity 9200+, Dimensity 9300+, and Dimensity 9400+ processors, respectively. With this, the change could be a surprise to fans. Yet, as earlier leaks shared, the Dimensity 9500+ will not be launched this year.
On a positive note, the Redmi K90 Ultra is allegedly coming with a built-in cooling fan. Furthermore, the phone is reportedly equipped with an IP68 rating, protecting it against water and dust. This should enable the phone to challenge the Honor Win RT and Honor Win, which have IP68, IP69, and IP69K ratings.
According to earlier reports, the Ultra model will feature a 10,000mAh battery, a 6.8-inch 1.5K 165Hz LTPS OLED display with an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint scanner, a metal frame, and support for both 100W wired and fast wireless charging.
