Redmi Note 12 and Redmi 12C will be unveiled tomorrow, and a new mystery about the phones has emerged, instead of the Google Phone app, both phones will feature the MIUI dialer. India has made an important amendment to Mobile Applications Distribution Agreement (MADA) in recent days. With the Indian government’s change, the phones sold in India no longer have to come with Google’s “mandatory” apps preinstalled.

This implies that further smartphones that will be released in India in the future, in addition to Redmi Note 12 and Redmi 12C, would ship with Xiaomi’s own MIUI dialer preinstalled rather than Google Phone app. MIUI dialer has been loved by the users for a long time. People enjoy the MIUI dialer since it is more adapted to the MIUI system interface and has the call recording capability. Basically MIUI dialer is more future rich than Google’s app.
Those who prefer the Google Phone app can download it from the Google Play Store after setting up the phone, there are no any restriction on the user downloading the Google Phone app voluntarily, it just won’t come preinstalled. The global variant of Redmi 12C will continue to come with Google Phone.
MIUI India team has shared that MIUI dialer will be present on their upcoming smartphones. Visit their official Twitter account here. What do you think about about MIUI dialer on Redmi Note 12 and Redmi 12C? Please share your thoughts in the comments!
