Xiaomi and several tipsters have already revealed key specifications of the Redmi Turbo 5 ahead of its official launch.
The Chinese giant will unveil the new Turbo 5 series this Thursday in China. A few days ago, a collection of leaks divulged that the standard model will feature a MediaTek Dimensity 8500 Ultra chip, LPDDR5X RAM, UFS 4.1 storage, a 6.59″ 1.5K LTPS display, a metal frame, and a glass back panel. It is also believed to offer a 7560mAh battery, 100W wired and 27W reverse wired charging support, a 3D ultrasonic fingerprint scanner, a thickness of 8.5mm, and full waterproof protection (IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K).
The company also shared the official design of the phone, which is similar to its predecessor’s and features a metal frame. The brand is expected to offer it in five color options, including the previously revealed Auspicious Cloud White variant. As per reports, it could cost around CN¥2,000 in China.
The Redmi Turbo 5 will be announced alongside the Max model, which features a Dimensity 9500s chip, 100W charging, 27W reverse charging, bypass charging, a 9000mAh battery, a 3D ultrasonic fingerprint scanner, and full water resistance.
