Motorola has finally introduced the Motorola Signature 27 at the Snapdragon Summit.
The brand is going all-in on the new phone, giving it all the flagship features expected from such a device. To start, unlike the OG Signature, which has the less-impressive Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chip, the new phone comes with the all-new Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6.
The SoC not only enables the phone to have AI capabilities but also gaming and video recording prowess. This is why Motorola also included its own ArcticMesh cooling system, which features a 40% larger vapor chamber containing liquid metal, copper mesh, and diamond-infused thermal gel.
The brand also went premium with the audio through its collaboration with Bang & Olufsen. According to Motorola, the same technology will be used in its upcoming devices.
In the camera department, the system is headlined by a 50MP 1/1.28″ Sony LYTIA 910 main camera, which is paired with a 200MP periscope telephoto. In the back of the phone, it is noticeable that Motorola has chosen a different design this time to highlight the model’s flagship status. In addition to the two cameras mentioned, the phone’s camera island further confirms the presence of additional lenses that will aid the system, though their details remain unknown.
According to Motorola, the Motorola Signature 27 will offer seven years of OS updates and support, with the phone expected to arrive with Android 17 out of the box.
The phone will be offered in Coal Smoke and Capulet Green (also called Capulet Olive). Its configurations and pricing, alongside its other details, are set to be announced soon.
