Google Pixel 3 turns off due to overheating while charging

Some owners of Google Pixel 3 and 3 XL claim that smartphones overheat while charging. They post complaints on Twitter and Reddit.
Slight heating of the smartphone during energy replenishment is a normal situation, but the problem with Pixel 3 is that overheating causes the device to shut down. The error most often occurs when using wireless charging.

The problem does not depend on specific charging devices: users observe overheating when using both the Google Pixel Stand and third-party Qi stations, and even some wired adapters.
If the smartphone detects that its temperature is too high, the user will receive a notification about it, and the charge rate will decrease dramatically. However, if the situation does not improve, the smartphone will turn off automatically to avoid further heating.
