How to update to MIUI 10 Beta ROM from Stable ROM
  • As this method wipes the user data partition (removing your apps and other data including media), backup your device first, learn how to backup here.
  • Download the Recovery ROM from below for your model & make sure the battery is charged above 60%
Step 1
Download the latest MIUI ROM file. There is no need to do it again if you’ve already downloaded the latest ROM file.
Step 2
Connect your device to the Windows PC/laptop via a micro USB cable, and copy the ROM file downloaded in Step 1 into the folder ‘downloaded_rom’ in the internal storage of your device.
Step 3
Launch ‘Settings’ app on your device, select ‘About phone’, click ‘System update’, then press ‘three dots’ icon at the top-right corner, and select ‘choose update package’ to enter. Choose the ROM file you’ve put in ‘downloaded_rom’ in Step 2.

Step 4
After choosing the right ROM file, your device will begin upgrading. Your device should automatically boot to the new version when the update is completed.

1. Would I lose my data, including apps, media etc?
Yes! This version will let you update to MIUI 10 Beta ROM from Stable ROM, but do note that it wipes the user data partition and hence you are requested to backup learn here.
