Vivo has shared the details of the iQOO 16’s main camera ahead of its launch.
The iQOO model will be unveiled in China on September 29. Days before the event, the brand divulged some details about the phone.
After revealing its display and design, the brand is back to share new information about its primary camera.
According to the company, it houses an upgraded 50MP 1/1.3″ main camera. It claims to have 79% better light intake than the iQOO 15. In addition to the CIPA 5.5 professional-grade image stabilization, the phone is also said to feature the same camera tech and algorithms as Vivo’s flagship models, including Super Light and Shadow HDR and the NICE 3.0 optical reconstruction engine.
Other details confirmed by the brand include its 50MP Sony super periscope telephoto lens, a 50MP ultrawide lens, 4K Ultra HD Live support, and a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 chip.
As previously reported, the iQOO 16 comes in Chasing Light, Legend, and Race Track colorways. It is expected to arrive in 12GB/256GB, 12GB/512GB, 16GB/512GB, and 16GB/1TB configurations.
iQOO also earlier shared that the iQOO 16 will arrive with the 2K LEAD 2.0 technology, a product of iQOO and Samsung’s collaboration. It also boasts the high-refresh-rate Samsung M16 luminescent material.
According to earlier reports, the iQOO 16 will also arrive with a dedicated chip, a periscope telephoto unit, a 6.85″ display with an ultrasonic scanner, an 8500mAh battery, 100W wired charging, wireless charging, and IP68/IP69 ratings.
