Vivo announces that the Vivo X300 series will be the first to offer OriginOS 6’s wireless file sharing feature with Mac and iPad.
The Vivo X300 series is rumored to feature a boatful of upgrades across different departments. This includes the upcoming Android 16-based OriginOS 6 system, which will offer new features and capabilities.
The brand recently revealed one of them. According to the company, the upcoming OS will offer a new capability that should make Vivo smartphones more compatible with the Apple ecosystem. This includes an AirDrop-like capability that will allow wireless file sharing between OriginOS 6-supported devices and Macs/iPads. Vivo underscored that there is no need for cables or to be connected to the same WiFi. Instead, the only requirement is that the devices need to be signed in with a Vivo account.
In addition to the Vivo X300 series, the iQOO 15 is also expected to ship with OriginOS 6. According to rumors, the former is expected to arrive on October 13.
