Vivo S2 arrives after 7 years

After years of waiting, the Vivo S1 in India has finally been replaced by the Vivo S2.

To recall, the Vivo S1 was launched in 2019. Despite rumors about its successor in recent years, the brand took almost seven years to present it.

Now, the new Vivo model is finally here, offering some interesting upgrades and features to fans.

To start, it is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7360-Turbo chip, which is paired with 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and up to 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage. It also has a huge 7050mAh battery and a massive 3,800mm² vapor chamber cooling system.

Complementing its luxurious Air-like rear design is a curved 1.5K 120Hz AMOLED with an optical in-display fingerprint scanner and a 32MP selfie camera. On its back, there is a 50MP Sony IMX852 main camera that works alongside a 2MP depth sensor.

Other highlights of the phone include 44W wired fast charging, bypass charging, five years of security updates, IP68 and IP69 ratings, MIL-STD-810H certification, and Android 16-based OriginOS 6.

The device comes in Sapphire Blue, Regal Bronze, and Silk White shades. It is available in 8GB/128GB and 8GB/256GB configurations, priced at ₹39,999 ($420) and ₹44,999 ($472), respectively. Sales will start on August 12.
