New materials that have surfaced online show the new design of the upcoming Vivo S50 model. Meanwhile, more details about the phone continue to leak, including the design of the S50 Pro model.
The Vivo S50 series is set to launch in December. The company continues to tease the lineup, with Vivo Product Manager Han Boxiao recently giving us a peek at the vanilla S50’s side profile. According to the official, the phone boasts an aerospace-grade aluminum frame and employs a new satin lithography design process. The side frame features rounded edge chamfers.

Another marketing material showing the phone’s rear design has also surfaced online in China. According to the image, the phone features a marble-like colorway variant and a square camera island with rounded corners, giving the phone a similar appearance to the Oppo Reno series.

Interestingly, tipster Digital Chat Station claimed that the Vivo S50 Pro model will not have the same design. As per the leaker, the device will have an iPhone Air-like design, meaning it will have a horizontal pill-shaped camera island. If true, the handheld will be one of the latest models to adopt the same look, following Nubia Air and Honor 500 series.
The series is also expected to include a compact Vivo S50 Mini model. Han Boxiao shared days ago that the phone will come with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chip, complemented by 9600Mbps LPDDR5x RAM and UFS 4.1 storage.
Meanwhile, the most recent tips claim that the compact model will also feature a 6.3″ flat display with an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner, a 50MP Sony IMX9-series main camera, a 50MP IMX882 periscope, an 8MP ultrawide lens, a 6500mAh battery, and possibly IP68 and IP69 ratings.
