Vivo S50, S50 Pro Mini now official

The Vivo S50 series has finally arrived, featuring the Vivo S50 and Vivo S50 Pro Mini.

The new Vivo models sport some upgrades over their predecessors, including a new design. Unlike the S30 series, however, the two models do not share the same looks. While the vanilla model features an Oppo Reno-like design, the S50 Pro Mini boasts a horizontal pill-shaped camera island, similar to that of the Apple iPhone 17 Air.

As expected, the devices also feature new chipsets, with the S50 housing a Snapdragon 8s Gen 3. The compact model, on the other hand, comes with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chip. In terms of battery, the handhelds keep the same 6500mAh cells from the S30 series. They also have the same 90W charging speed, but the Mini variant now has 40W wireless charging support.

The standard model comes in Deep Space Black, Inspiration Purple, Confession White, and Yoyo Blue. Its configurations include 12GB/256GB, 12GB/512GB, 16GB/256GB, and 16GB/512GB, priced at CN¥2,999 ($425), CN¥3,299 ($467), CN¥3,399 ($481), and CN¥3,599 ($510), respectively. The Pro Mini, on the other hand, is available in Deep Space Black, Inspiration Purple, and Confession White. Its configurations are limited to 12GB/256GB, 12GB/512GB, and 16GB/512GB, which cost CN¥3,699 ($524), CN¥3,999 ($566), and CN¥4,299 ($609), respectively.
