Vivo has started teasing the Vivo T5x 5G in India. The bad news, however, is that it will be priced higher than its predecessor.
The Vivo model will be available in the market soon, with indications suggesting it could happen on March 15 or later. According to teasers shared by the brand, it will offer improved speed and a larger battery. While it didn’t reveal the chip inside the phone, it claimed that it scored over 1 million points on AnTuTu using the phone’s 8GB/256GB variant. The company also confirmed that it would join the sub-₹23,000 segment in India.
This is higher than the launch price of the Vivo T4x 5G, which debuted at only ₹13,999 for its 6GB/128GB variant.
The news of the phone’s price hike is not a surprise, since the brand earlier implemented the same move for the Vivo T4 series in India.
On a positive note, the phone is expected to feature some upgrades. Some rumored details about the Vivo T5x 5G include a MediaTek Dimensity 7400 Turbo chip, Android 16-based OriginOS 6, a battery up to 7200mAh, and 44W charging. The phone’s Flipkart page also confirms its design and two colorways, including white and green.
