Vivo confirmed several key details of the yet-to-be-announced Vivo V70 series. Meanwhile, a tipster provided the alleged pricing list of the devices and their respective configurations.
The Vivo V70 and Vivo V70 Elite will be unveiled on February 19. The brand is now accepting pre-bookings for the devices. In line with this, the lineup’s dedicated page on Vivo India already shows some of the phones’ key specifications.
According to the page, the series features a 6.59″ 1.5K 120Hz OLED with 1.25mm-thin bezels, 5000nits peak brightness, and 3D Ultrasonic Fingerprint Scanning 2.0 tech. There’s also a 6500mAh battery with 90W wired and bypass charging support, IP68/69 ratings, and a 50MP ZEISS telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom. The camera system is also said to include a 50MP OIS main camera and an ultrawide unit, and support 4K video shooting at 60fps. In front, fans can expect a 50MP selfie unit.
Both phones share the same design, including an aluminum metal side frame. However, while the vanilla model comes in Passion Red and Lemon Yellow, the Elite version has Passion Red, Sand Beige, and Authentic Black colorways. Another difference between the two is in the chip: the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 SoC powers the standard model, while the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 is found in the Elite model. Sadly, only the latter will get the X-axis linear motor for games.
As per Vivo, the chips are paired with LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.1 storage, and also support several AI features (AI Floral Blessing, AI Holi Portrait, AI Magic Weather, etc.) The phones also run on OriginOS 6 and will receive four major OS upgrades and six years of security patches.
Meanwhile, tipster Abhishek Yadav claims that the V70 will be offered in 8GB/256GB and 12GB/256GB options, allegedly priced at ₹45,999 and ₹49,999, respectively. The Elite, on the other hand, reportedly comes in 8GB/256GB, 12GB/256GB, and 12GB/512GB configurations, priced at ₹51,999, ₹56,999, and ₹61,999, respectively. The leaker added that the phones will hit the shelves on February 25 to 28.
