A seemingly official specification sheet of Vivo X Fold 3 has echoed the past claims about the series. Even more, the poster shows claims that the new model could be thinner than the company’s own X5 Max and lighter than Apple’s iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max.
The Vivo X Fold 3 series is expected to launch this month, with a leaker saying that it could be on March 26, 27, or 28. As expected, prior to that event, different leaks involving the Vivo X Fold 3 and Vivo X Fold 3 Pro are surfacing. The latest includes the weight and thinness of the models.
According to a post from Chinese platform Weibo, the models could be lighter than the iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max, which weigh 187g and 221g, respectively. However, no specifics were shared, but if Vivo wants to make it a remarkable creation in terms of weight, both models should at least weigh near the 167g weight of Motorola Edge 40, which is considered one of the lightest smartphones this year.
In terms of thinness, the sheet claims that both models will be thinner than the 2015 Vivo X5 Max, which measures 5.1mm. Despite years after its initial release, the model is still considered the thinnest unit in the market, so beating this record would indeed be interesting for a foldable model.
On the other hand, the poster reiterated past details rumored about the Vivo X Fold 3 and Vivo X Fold 3 Pro, including their IPX8 rating, Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 in the Pro model, 8.03-inch Samsung E7 AMOLED main screens, 6.53-inch external screens, 5,500 mAh battery in X Fold 3, and more.
