Vivo has announced the Vivo X80 series of smartphones in China. The company is now gearing up to launch smartphones outside the Chinese market. The devices were launched offering a great set of specifications at a very reasonable price in China. The brand has now confirmed the launch date of its flagship Vivo X80 series for the Indian market.
Vivo X80 series India launch date
The company has finally revealed its official launch date for the Vivo X80 series in India. The brand will host a launch event in the country on May 18th, 2022 to debut its most awaited flagship Vivo X80 series. The devices were earlier spotted at the India BIS certification and now they are all set to land in India. The series contains multiple smartphones, of which, all of them are expected to launch in India at the same event.

The X80 has a Mediatek Dimensity 9000 processor as well as a Sony IMX866 main sensor, dual-cell 80W “flash charging,” which is just a fancy way of saying 80W fast charging, and a Samsung E5 2K (1440p) OLED display. There’s also the X80 Pro, which features the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor, an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor, and 50W wireless fast charging. There’s also the X80 Pro Dimensity 9000 Edition, which is essentially the same as the X80 Pro but uses a Dimensity 9000 instead of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1.
The Vivo X80 Pro is very similar to the Vivo X80, but it has a few more advantages to round out the package. The X80 Pro features an updated 6.78-inch 2K E5 AMOLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate. In addition to the Dimensity 9000 SoC variant, the device supports the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset. The CPU is paired with a similar maximum configuration of 12GB RAM and 512GB storage. It has a larger 4,700mAh battery and supports 80W fast charging.
