A new leak lists the possible specifications of the upcoming Xiaomi 16 model.
The Xiaomi 16 series could arrive this month, and as expected, the lineup will include the vanilla model. While the brand remains secretive about the models, several leaks have already revealed their details.
The latest one comes from tipster Yogesh Brar, who shared the list of specifications of the lineup’s standard variant. The tip corroborates earlier claims about the phone’s chip, display, camera, and more. For instance, as per leaks, the handheld will now feature a telephoto unit, a bigger battery, and faster charging support.
According to him, the Xiaomi 16 will arrive with the following:
- Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 AKA Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5
- 6.3″ 1.5K LTPO 120Hz display with ultrasonic fingerprint scanner
- 50MP Omnivision main camera + 50MP ultrawide + 50MP JN5 telephoto
- 32MP selfie camera
- 7000mAh battery
- 100W wired and 50W wireless charging
- HyperOS 3
- IP68 and IP69 ratings
The news follows an earlier leak, saying that the brand will resurrect the rear display feature in the series. According to a recent image leak, the Xiaomi 16 Pro Max will sport the said detail.
As per reports, the Xiaomi 16, Xiaomi 16 Pro, and Xiaomi 16 Pro Max would house 7000mAh, 6300mAh, and 7500mAh batteries, respectively. The entire Xiaomi 16 series will also support 100W charging and use the upcoming Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip. The Pro model is said to offer a flat LTPO OLED measuring 6.8″ and has eye protection tech. Leaks also revealed that the standard Xiaomi 16 model will measure 6.5″ inches, while the Pro Mini will have displays measuring 6.3 inches. The vanilla and Pro models will also feature 50MP1/1.3″ main cameras. Other reports specified that the system features a 50MP SmartSens 590 main camera, a 50MP ultrawide, and a 50MP periscope telephoto camera with macro. The model also reportedly offers a 50MP selfie lens, which even supports autofocus and 4K recording at 60fps.
