Xiaomi introduced a new translation capability to the Xiaomi 17 Pro series.
The Xiaomi 17 series is now in China. According to the company, the Pro and Pro Max models are responsible for almost 80% of the lineup’s sales. One of the most notable features of the two models is the secondary display on their backs. Now, users in China can enjoy a new feature employing the said screen.
The Chinese giant rolled out a new update to the Xiaomi 17 series this week. One key highlight is the arrival of the Dialogue Translation feature in the Pro and Pro Max variants.
The feature lets users put Chinese texts on the front display, and the rear screen instantly translates the message to English or other languages. Xiaomi plans to add more features to the rear display soon.
Sadly, it is unknown if the Xiaomi 17 Pro and 17 Pro Max will be offered outside China. There is no news whether the upcoming Xiaomi 17 Ultra will also have a secondary display. Yet, as per the Chinese brand, it plans to keep the component for its next lineups.
