Xiaomi has introduced a new function to the back screen of the Xiaomi 17 Pro series: real-time weather updates.
The Chinese giant has confirmed the new feature in a Weibo post in China, showcasing the display’s ability to switch its dynamic background to reflect real-time weather conditions.
The news follows earlier updates Xiaomi introduced to the Xiaomi 17 Pro and Xiaomi 17 Pro Max rear displays, including the special 2026 Chinese New Year wallpapers and effects, Stealth Mode, and instant Dialogue Translation.
To recall, the displays are among the key highlights of the Pro models, which have proven successful in China following their impressive sales.
According to earlier reports, Xiaomi plans to keep the rear displays on the Xiaomi 18 series. The brand has also seemingly confirmed this in the past, noting that it has invested in research to further improve the feature and add more capabilities in the future.
