Xiaomi 17 series to get another member with SD 8 Elite Gen 5, periscope

According to a new rumor, the Xiaomi 17 series is set to welcome another model, which will be as powerful as its siblings.

The Xiaomi 17 Ultra recently joined the series. In January 2026, the said device, alongside the vanilla variant, is expected to arrive globally. Now, according to a new tip, the series will soon be joined by another new model.

While Digital Chat Station didn’t mention the exact moniker of the smartphone, he noted that it will be “a minor iteration” of a certain unnamed model. 

Based on the details shared by DCS, the phone will also offer impressive performance in various areas, similar to its siblings, thanks to its Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip and periscope telephoto unit. It is also reportedly coming with a 6.8″ to 6.9″ display with ultra-narrow bezels.
