Xiaomi 17 Ultra pre-orders start in China

Xiaomi has reportedly started accepting pre-orders for the Xiaomi 17 Ultra in China.

According to reports in China, various retail stores in the country are now offering blind pre-orders, believed to be for the Ultra smartphone. For instance, Xiaomi Home now offers a CN¥100 refundable pre-order for an unnamed flagship imaging phone.

The news follows several leaks about the phone, including a live image of it while wearing a privacy protective case. According to tips, the Chinese brand is keeping the circular camera island design in the phone. However, from the four rear cameras of predecessors, the Chinese giant is reportedly reducing it to three.

Despite having fewer lenses, the phone reportedly has better cameras than its predecessor. Leaks suggest that Xiaomi will focus on using larger lenses this time, with some tipsters stating that the company is adding a new Leica coating to the cameras. As per rumors, the lenses the phone houses include the 50MP OVX10500U for the main unit, the 200MP S5KHPE for telephoto, and 50MP OV50M or 50MP S5KJN5 for the ultrawide. The selfie camera, on the other hand, could arrive with a 50MP OV50M lens.
