Xiaomi 17 Ultra pre-orders timeframe, price tipped

According to a well-known tipster from China, the Xiaomi 17 Ultra will be available for pre-orders from December 15 to 25. The leaker also provided fans with an idea of how much it will cost.

The Xiaomi 17 series is already in China, but still awaits the arrival of the top-of-the-line Ultra model. According to earlier reports, the brand is now preparing the phone for its launch, with some noting that it could arrive in late December.

As the month progresses, Smart Pikachu shared that the handheld would be available for reservations starting mid-December. The account also revealed that the price of the phone would not change much. To recall, the Xiaomi 15 Ultra debuted in China in three configurations: 12GB/256GB (CN¥6499, $895), 16GB/512GB (CN¥6999, $960), and 16GB/1TB (CN¥7799, $1070).

The news follows several leaks about the phone, including a live image of it while wearing a privacy protective case. According to tips, the Chinese brand is keeping the circular camera island design in the phone. However, from the four rear cameras of predecessors, the Chinese giant is reportedly reducing it to three.

Despite having fewer lenses, the phone reportedly has better cameras than its predecessor. Leaks suggest that Xiaomi will focus on using larger lenses this time, with some tipsters stating that the company is adding a new Leica coating to the cameras. As per rumors, the lenses the phone houses include the 50MP OVX10500U for the main unit, the 200MP S5KHPE for telephoto, and 50MP OV50M or 50MP S5KJN5 for the ultrawide. The selfie camera, on the other hand, could arrive with a 50MP OV50M lens.
