Xiaomi 17 Ultra satellite, camera details tipped

The satellite and camera details of the anticipated Xiaomi 17 Ultra model have leaked online.

The Xiaomi 17 series is already official, but we are still waiting for the Ultra variant of the lineup. We recently heard about the model, and now we have new details about the phone, which is said to feature a quad camera system. According to the latest tip, the phone has three 50MP units and a 200MP lens. The main camera is rumored to feature a high dynamic range and a new periscope telephoto camera.

A new Chinese certification for the handheld also appeared recently, confirming its satellite feature. It is expected to support direct communication through Tiantong-1 and Beidou satellites. To recall, it was earlier rumored that the global version of the phone would also support a satellite capability. However, the latest listing only shows a single variant with the 25128PNA1C model number, a different identification we saw last month. As such, there are two possibilities. It could mean that there’s indeed a global variant with a satellite feature, or the Chinese market is getting two versions: one with satellite communication and one without it. The latter possibility is more likely to happen, though, since offering it in the global market means a huge challenge for any brand.
