Xiaomi is now offering a special accessory that lets the Xiaomi 18 Pro models function as a guitar.
The Pro and Pro Max are now in China and will debut globally this year. The phones carry the same rear display feature we saw in their predecessors, and the brand also introduced some new capabilities.
In addition to creating apps via AI, the rear displays can also be used to play the guitar through the company’s Xiaomi Pocket Guitar accessory. It is a detachable magnetic accessory that attaches to the back panel.
It is foldable and is divided into two parts. While the first has chord buttons, the other has textured ridges that simulate guitar strings.
The attachment works with the Chinese app Changba, which has two modes. The Chord mode lets you strum and push the chord buttons, while the Rhythm mode only requires you to strum the strings. The rear display, on the other hand, lets you see the guitar controls.
The Xiaomi Pocket Guitar is available in black and red options and houses a 630mAh battery for 30 days of power. It charges via a USB Type-C port and connects to devices via Bluetooth.
The accessory is now available in China for CN¥599 ($89).
