Transparent design is reportedly making a comeback in the Xiaomi 18 series.
To recall, the concept is not new to the Chinese giant. We first saw this in the Mi 8 Explorer Edition back in 2018. Then came the Mi 9 Transparent Edition and Mi 10 Ultra in 2020. Last year, it explored the idea again in the Xiaomi 15S Pro Explorer Edition, though it didn’t hit the shelves.
Now, it seems the company is considering bringing the idea back, as indicated by a recent tip from Digital Chat Station.
While the leaker didn’t specify the device, the following conversation thread in the post affirms it is the Xiaomi 18 series.
According to reports, the lineup will make its initial debut in September, while the vanilla model will arrive in December. The rear display-armed Xiaomi 18 Pro and Xiaomi 18 Pro Max models, on the other hand, are reportedly coming globally this time.
