Xiaomi maintains 3rd rank in global smartphone market Q3 2025 as shipments increase

Xiaomi experienced a rise in its global smartphone shipments during the third quarter of the year. In line with this, the company managed to maintain its third rank.

Like in past quarters, Samsung and Apple still hold the first two spots, respectively. Xiaomi follows in third place and shipped a total of 43.5 million units during the said period. According to IDC, this allows it to secure a 13.5% share of the global market in the third quarter, equating to a 1.8% YoY growth. To compare, the Chinese giant shipped 42.5 million units of smartphones globally and had a 14.4% market share in the second quarter of the year.

The shrinking of its market share for this quarter can be explained by the aggressive growth of its competitors in the market, with Samsung, Apple, and other Chinese brands like Transsion and Vivo continuously releasing new products in the market. Nonetheless, Xiaomi is expected to make a huge growth in the next quarter reports, especially since it has recently released its Xiaomi 17 series, which is a success in China. In the next months, the brand is also expected to debut the said series alongside the Xiaomi 17 Ultra in the coming months internationally, which should result in the further increase of its shipments.
