A few months ago, the Redmi K50 lineup of smartphones was introduced in China. Redmi K50 series was one of the best smartphones by the brand and now, in their yesterday’s launch event, they have announced a new colour and storage variant of the Redmi K50 device. Apart from this, multiple products like Redmi Note 11T series, Redmi Buds 4 Pro and Xiaomi Band 7 were launched at the same event.
Redmi K50 announced in the new storage configuration
The company unveiled a new Redmi K50 smartphone variant with similar specifications but an upgraded 12GB RAM and 512GB onboard storage option. The new 12GB variant costs CNY 2899. (approx USD 435). The device will be available for purchase in the country beginning May 26th, 2022, and is already available for pre-order in China. The company has also released a new colour variant of the device, Ice White, which has a matte white back panel.
The new colour variant will go on sale starting June 18th, 2022 and will be available on all the models starting at CNY 2399 (approx USD 360). So, these two configurations have been added to the Redmi K50 smartphone. Users will be able to get access to these new models as soon as they went on sale, officially.
In terms of specifications, it has a 6.67-inch QuadHD+ AMOLED display with support for up to 120Hz high refresh rate, Corning Gorilla Glass Victus protection, and precisely tuned colours. It is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 8100 5G SoC and up to 12GB of RAM (newly introduced). It has a triple rear camera setup with a 48-megapixel primary camera, an 8-megapixel ultrawide sensor, and a 2-megapixel macro sensor. The punch-hole cutout in the centre houses a 20-megapixel front selfie camera.
