The Xiaomi Buds 4 Pro have touch controls, but the HUAWEI FreeBuds Pro 2 support smart, intuitive controls, unlike Xiaomi. Press, hold or slide the headset case to perform various functions of the FreeBuds Pro 2. Both models are IP54 water and dust resistant.

When you connect the Xiaomi Buds 4 Pro to a up-to-date Xiaomi phone, a pop-up screen is displayed. The same is true when you connect the FreeBuds Pro 2 to a HUAWEI phone. The compatibility with the ecosystem is quite good.


Xiaomi Buds 4 Pro and HUAWEI FreeBuds Pro 2 are currently the best TWS earphones of 2022 and have specs worth looking at. The Buds 4 Pro are only available in China and you are unlikely to be able to buy them in the European or Indian markets, but the HUAWEI FreeBuds Pro 2 are on sale worldwide.
