The Xiaomi HyperOS 4 beta program has started, with the first beta build now being released to participants.
Those who are part of the beta program can manually check for its availability by going to Settings > About phone and tapping on the version number.
While the OS is expected to come in numerous models in the future, the beta update is currently only available in Xiaomi 17 Ultra, Xiaomi 17, and Leica Leitzphone by Xiaomi.
On a positive note, the beta build will also come to the Xiaomi 15, Xiaomi 15 Ultra, Xiaomi 17T, and Xiaomi 17T Pro this Thursday.
To recall, HyperOS 4 includes a handful of new additions. One of its key highlights is the Liquid Glass visual design for its UI. It covers the control center, quick toggles, folders, and the lock screen, and applies translucent effects and even real-time light rendering.
Another noteworthy detail is the Super AI Assistant 2.0, which is powered by Xiaomi’s proprietary MiMo large language model. The AI offers a handful of features, including the Inspiration Ball (a draggable contextual tool to highlight text and images for actions like product searches and map navigation), Super Island (pill-shaped notification built around the punch-hole front camera for real-time status updates), unified cross-device management, automated voice transcriptions, native photo album semantic lookups, and more.
While the brand has yet to announce which devices will receive the upgrade, we have compiled a list of possible models that might get HyperOS 4 based on Xiaomi’s update policy.
