The Leica Leitzphone powered by Xiaomi is now official. Meanwhile, in China, the Xiaomi 17 Ultra welcomes the same design with two configuration options.
The Chinese brand unveiled the new Leica phone globally alongside the Xiaomi 17 and Xiaomi 17 Ultra. It is based on the Xiaomi 17 Ultra Leica Edition in China, but comes with a plain black design and a smaller 6000mAh battery (vs. 6800mAh in China).
It also features a manual Leica Camera Ring around the camera island and the same specifications as its Chinese counterpart, such as Leica photographic styles (Leica Authentic Look and Leica Vibrant Look), Leica filters, Leica classic shutter sound, and Leica watermark. However, it is only available in a single 16GB/1TB configuration, priced at €1,999 in Europe and £1,699 in the UK.

In related news, the same design has been introduced in China, but it still carries the Xiaomi 17 Ultra Leica Edition branding. The phone comes in 16GB/512GB and 16GB/1TB. It also has the same details as the other color variants of the said model.
