Xiaomi reportedly rolling out Samsung Privacy Display-like feature via HyperOS 4

According to a new tip, Xiaomi is preparing a feature akin to Samsung’s Privacy Display. The brand is allegedly introducing the capability through HyperOS 4.

Samsung presented the Privacy Display on the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra. It is a hardware-based feature that limits the screen’s viewing angles. With the feature, users can see the screen’s content when viewed from the usual front angle, while those viewing it from the side won’t see a thing.

Now, tipster Yogesh Brar says that Xiaomi is preparing the same feature. Interestingly, unlike the one found in the said Samsung model, the leak suggests that Xiaomi’s version is software-based.

According to the leak, the feature will arrive through an update: the HyperOS 4. The feature will allegedly be rolled out later this year.

The news follows earlier efforts by the brand to fortify its system’s privacy department. To recall, the brand earlier rolled out the Stealth Mode access on the rear display of the Xiaomi 17 Pro series.
