Brand designer reveals OnePlus’ design change plans for future models

A designer from Oppo and OnePlus revealed that the upcoming smartphone models of the brands will have new looks.

Liu Haoran, General Manager of the OPPO Industrial Design Center and Chief Design Officer of OnePlus, recently hinted at the plan in a lengthy message online. According to the designer, OnePlus “will launch the new OnePlus design language” this year through its devices. The official also promised the use of “new processes and materials,” suggesting that the design will also manifest in the texture and other areas of the devices.

Meanwhile, reputable leaker Digital Chat Station shared more clues about the upcoming OnePlus models getting the new brand’s new designs. According to the tipster, these devices will be powered by Dimensity 9400/Dimensity 9350 and Snapdragon 8 Elite chips.

The Dimensity 9350 phone is believed to be a mid-range model with a 1.5K LTPS flat display, a battery rating of around 7000mAh, and 210W charging support. Based on these descriptions, it could be part of the brand’s Ace 5 series.

The Snapdragon 8 Elite model, on the other hand, could be the OnePlus 13 Mini or 13T. As per DCS, it has a large battery despite its size and will offer a different camera configuration. The same leaker earlier shared that the phone will have a 6.31″ flat 1.5K LTPO display with an optical in-display fingerprint sensor, a rear camera setup comprised of 50MP Sony IMX906 main camera + 8MP ultrawide + 50 MP periscope telephoto with 3x optical zoom, a metal frame, and a glass body.
