A new teaser video from Xiaomi shows that its Xiaomi 17 Pro model also has a secondary screen on its back. Meanwhile, a new tip reveals the phone’s camera details.
The Chinese giant earlier flaunted the Xiaomi 17 Pro Max’s rear design, which houses a horizontal rectangular display with two circular lens cutouts. Now, as another surprise to fans, the company shared that the Pro variant will also offer the same display on its back.
The news follows the brand’s confirmation about the naming of the series. Instead of the anticipated 16 moniker, Xiaomi explained that it jumped to 17 to challenge Apple’s new iPhone 17 series directly. Each of the Cupertino company’s latest creations even has its own counterpart in the Xiaomi 17 series, except for the iPhone 17 Air.
Meanwhile, tipster Digital Chat Station shared the camera system of the Pro model. According to him, the device boasts a triple 50MP Leica camera setup with a 50MP f1.67 main camera, a 17mm ultrawide, and a f3.0 115mm telephoto unit with a 5X optical zoom. Earlier reports claimed that the vanilla and Pro models both have 50 MP1/1.3″ main cameras. Other reports specified that the system features a 50MP SmartSens 590 main camera, a 50MP ultrawide, and a 50MP periscope telephoto camera with macro. The model also reportedly offers a 50MP selfie lens, which even supports autofocus and 4K recording at 60fps.
