As promised earlier, the Xiaomi 17 is now available in a 1TB storage option. Even more, it comes with a CN¥200 cheaper price tag than the earlier generation.
The Xiaomi 17 series is now in China. It is performing better compared to its predecessor, with sales reportedly reaching over 20% higher than those of the Xiaomi 15. The Pro Max also immediately went out of stock after it hit the shelves due to high demand, but the brand says that it is actively replenishing the stock.
Despite the devices’ great success, the company was criticized for not launching a 1TB option for the vanilla model. According to Xiaomi Group President Lu Weibing, the earlier generation’s 1TB sales were low, leading to the company’s decision not to offer it.
Thankfully, due to fan demand, the company has decided to introduce a 1TB storage option for the standard Xiaomi 17. Now, it is available in China.
The new storage joins the 12GB/256GB (CN¥4,499/$630), 12GB/512GB (CN¥4,799/$672), and 16GB/512GB (CN¥4,999/$700) configurations in the market. The 16GB/1TB option sells for CN¥5,299, which is cheaper than the CN¥5,499 Xiaomi 15’s 1TB option.
