A device believed to be the Redmi K100 Pro Max could launch this year with some impressive details, including a huge 10,000mAh battery.
Digital Chat Station shared the news on Weibo. Although no moniker was mentioned, it is believed to be the Pro Max variant of the next Redmi K series.
According to the tipster, the phone will be powered by a 3nm chip, which could be the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5. To recall, it was earlier reported that the phone will have the same SoC as its predecessor, the Redmi K90 Pro Max.
The tip also mentioned a 7-inch 2K screen with an in-display 3D ultrasonic fingerprint scanner, a metal frame, and IP68 and IP69 ratings. Ultimately, the handheld is expected to arrive at the end of the year.
As per earlier leaks, the device could also feature a new 200MP lens, either in the main camera or the telephoto. DCS also earlier suggested that the model will start at the same current price range as the K90 Pro Max. To recall, the model debuted at a base price of CN¥3999 for the 12GB/256GB configuration. It was later slapped with a price hike in China, where it now starts at CN¥4199. As such, it means the next Redmi K100 Pro Max could also start at the same price. Yet, it could still cost more, as an earlier report says that the phone will get a $145 (CN¥992) price increase.
