The Xiaomi 17T Pro can now share files using AirDrop.
The Chinese giant has confirmed the addition of this capability to the Quick Share feature in the said model’s HyperOS 3 system. It is important to note, however, that it is not the same as the file exchanges between two iPhones. In Android AirDrop, the Android device generates a QR code that the receiving iPhone scans.
The feature is limited to a handful of Android devices, including the Samsung Galaxy S26 series, Galaxy S25 series, Galaxy S24 series, Galaxy Z Folds, Galaxy Z Flips, Google Pixel 10 series, Pixel 9 series, Pixel 8a series, Oppo Find X9 series, Find X8 series, Find N6, Vivo X300 Ultra, OnePlus 15, Honor Magic 8 Pro, Magic V6, and Xiaomi 17T Pro.
Soon, more Android devices are expected to receive AirDrop support in upcoming updates. Stay tuned!
