Vivo X Fold 6 debuts with 7000mAh battery, 200MP cam, teleconverter support

The Vivo X Fold 6 is now official, featuring the largest battery in a foldable and a powerful camera system that also supports teleconverter attachment.

Vivo has introduced many changes to the model, including its chip brand. Unlike the Vivo X Fold 5, which uses a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, the new handheld houses a MediaTek Dimensity 9500 Super SoC. It is paired with up to 16GB of LPDDR5X Ultra RAM and 1TB of UFS 4.1 storage.

Thanks to technological advancements, Vivo has managed to fit a huge 7000mAh battery into the phone. This is the largest battery found in a foldable to date, and it supports 80W wired and 40W wireless charging speeds.

In the camera department, Vivo injected it with a more powerful ZEISS 200MP Samsung 1/1.4″ HPB main camera (vs. X Fold 5’s 50MP 1/1.56″ Sony IMX921 main camera), which is the same one we have in the Vivo X300 and X300 Pro telephoto cameras.

In addition to the 50MP ultrawide and 50MP Sony LYT-602 telephoto with 3x optical zoom, the phone also supports the optional 200mm ZEISS Teleconverter G2 attachment for greater reach. To recall, its predecessor doesn’t have support for the said accessory, entirely relying on its 50MP 1/1.95″ Sony IMX882 periscope with OIS and 3x optical zoom.

The Vivo X Fold 6 is now available in China in white, blue, and black options. Sales will commence on July 1, with pricing starting at CNY7999 ($1175).
