Xiaomi has announced that the Redmi K100 Pro series will be unveiled in China on August 11.
The brand confirmed the date and showcased the design of the Pro Max variant. The phone sports a 6.9″ display with extremely thin bezels, while its back boasts a horizontal rectangular camera island. The posters also confirmed that the phone will be offered in a Cabernet Red colorway.
The variant is also expected to offer a trio of cameras, which includes a periscope telephoto unit. Its back also houses a Bose woofer, just like its predecessor, the K90 Pro Max.
According to reports, the series will include the vanilla Redmi K100, Redmi K100 Pro, and Redmi K100 Pro Max. The standard model, however, will be presented at a different event.
We heard that the base model will offer a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip, a flat 185Hz display with an in-display ultrasonic fingerprint scanner, a 200MP main camera, a 50MP telephoto macro, an 8000mAh+ battery, 80W wireless charging, a full-water protection (likely IP68 and IP69 ratings), dual speakers, and a glass back cover.
Meanwhile, the Pro Max is allegedly coming with the same chip, which will be used for the entire lineup. A tip also mentioned a 7-inch 2K screen with an in-display 3D ultrasonic fingerprint scanner, a metal frame, and IP68 and IP69 ratings. According to earlier leaks, the device could also feature a new 200MP lens, either in the main camera or the telephoto lens.
