OnePlus 16 is coming with 165Hz system-wide refresh rate

OnePlus has started teasing the launch of the OnePlus 16. In line with this, the brand has confirmed that the phone will feature a “global” 165Hz refresh rate.

The Chinese brand says the phone is coming “soon,” with earlier rumors claiming it could arrive in October (September in some reports). We also heard earlier that the device will come with a 165Hz display, which the company has now confirmed.

OnePlus also stated that the refresh rate applies to the entire phone system, which is said to come with Android 17-based ColorOS 17.

According to earlier reports, the OnePlus 16 is coming with a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro chip, a 6.78″ 1.5K OLED, an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner, a 200MP periscope telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom, a 9000mAh battery, 100W wired and 50W wireless charging, and an IP69 rating.

A tipster also earlier shared that it would be offered in 8GB/256GB, 12GB/256GB, 12GB/512GB, and 16GB/1TB, priced at CN¥4,999 ($740), CN¥5,499 ($814), CN¥5,999 ($888), and CN¥7,499 ($1100), respectively. Sadly, the phone reportedly won’t be coming to India.
