The Vivo X500, Vivo X500 Pro, and Vivo X500 Pro Max have finally landed in China.
Vivo announced its latest flagship models in its domestic market this week. One of the key highlights of the series is the Dimensity 9600 Pro chip, with the Pro and Pro Max variants being the first to offer it.
The main star of the lineup, nonetheless, is the camera department. To start, the Pro models feature a custom 24mm equivalent 50MP main camera. According to Vivo, it made a collaboration to develop the 1/1.28″ Sony LYTIA L910 lens powering the said camera, which offers an f/1.57 fixed aperture with 17 EV dynamic range and a layer of Zeiss T coating. The main difference between this camera in the Pro and Pro Max, however, is that the latter boasts a 3-degree OIS, while the former limits it to 1.5 degrees.
There’s also a 200MP Samsung ISOCELL HP0 1/1.4″ periscope telephoto with CIPA 7.0 stabilization in the Pro Max, while the Pro has a custom 64MP 1/2.0″ Sony LYTIA 610 with the same OIS capability as the Pro Max. Both also offer 50MP 1/2.75″ ISOCELL JN5 ultrawide. There’s also the optional 400mm Zeiss Telephoto Extender Gen 2 Ultra, which will further boost the cameras on these models.
The Pro models also rank among the best for videography, thanks to their 4K@240fps cinematic slow-motion support and 10-bit video with 4:2:2 encoding. The Pro Max can bring that number higher at 8K@30fps.
The vanilla X500 is also powerful in its own right. While it doesn’t have the same camera specs as its Pro siblings, it can do decent camera work with its 50MP Lytia 828 1/1.28″ main camera, a 64MP 72mm telephoto, and a 50MP ISOCELL JN1 ultrawide unit.
Other highlights of the series include the 2K 144Hz AMOLED, huge batteries up to 8000mAh, IP68/IP69 ratings, and Android 17-based OriginOS 7.
The vanilla Vivo X500 is available in 12GB/256GB, 12GB/512GB, and 12GB/1TB, priced at CN¥5,499, CN¥5,999, and CN¥6,999, respectively. The Pro model comes in the same configurations, which sell for CN¥6,499, CN¥7,499, and CN¥8,499, respectively. Vivo also recently added the 16GB/512GB and 16GB/1TB variants to the Pro, which sell for CN¥7,999 and CN¥8,999, respectively.
The Pro Max, meanwhile, comes in 12GB/256GB, 12GB/512GB, 12GB/1TB, 16GB/512GB, and 16GB/1TB configurations, priced at CN¥6,999, CN¥7,999, CN¥8,999, CN¥8,499, and CN¥12,999, respectively.
