New leaks show that Xiaomi is preparing two Redmi smartphones that will soon launch.
The first is the vanilla Redmi K100 model, reportedly coming at the end of October. The specs of the phone have recently surfaced online. According to a tip, the phone is coming with a Snapdragon 8 Elite chip, paired with 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 256GB of UFS 4.1 storage. These components alone are said to cost around CN¥3,000 ($450), but Xiaomi is reportedly aiming to get the phone into the CN¥3,699 ($550) segment.
The phone is also reportedly featuring a dedicated graphics chip, dual Bose speakers, and a large vibration motor. Earlier reports claimed that the phone could also come with a 185Hz display with a 3D ultrasonic fingerprint scanner, an IP68 rating, and 100W charging.
The second model is reportedly the Redmi Turbo 6 Max, which is also expected to come with a 10,000mAh battery and a MediaTek Dimensity 9500s chip. The phone also comes with a minimalist design, with an earlier leak showing it boasting a horizontal pill-shaped rear camera island. The phone also comes with a larger display than its predecessor’s, rumored to measure around 7 inches and offer 2K resolution.
