HMD is now reportedly working on the Fusion 2 model. In addition to some improvements, the device is said to be coming with new Outfits.
The HMD Fusion made its name by offering a handful of interesting features. Aside from its repairability, the phone is customizable through a modular “Smart Outfit” system, which can add new functionalities and styles. Now, the brand is said to be preparing its successor, which will arrive with new Outfits.
According to a well-known HMD tipster, the Smart Outfits Gen 2 will bring new functions to the well-known Fusion series. Interestingly, the tipster claimed that nine outfits would be coming, namely the Casual Outfit with a kick stand, Wireless Charge Outfit, Rugged Outfit, Gaming Outfit, Camera Grip Outfit, Flashy Outfit, Speaker Outfit, QR & Barcode Scanner Outfit, and Smart Projector Outfit. In India, the current Fusion model is available in Casual Outfit (basic case with no extra functionality), Flashy Outfit (with built-in ring light), and Gaming Outfit (gaming controller that transforms the device into a game console).
The tipster also shared some of the alleged specs of the HMD Fusion 2, such as:
