Honor and Oppo are rumored to be working on some industry firsts. While Honor is developing a new smartphone with a huge 12,000mAh cell, Oppo is said to be considering a model with a 100MP selfie camera.
The competition in the smartphone industry is getting fiercer every year. In addition to new designs and better displays, the battery and camera sections are among the biggest departments getting attention all the time. Now, according to rumors, Honor and Oppo are planning to introduce interesting upgrades in these areas with their upcoming devices.
To start, Honor is said to be working on two smartphones with gigantic batteries inside. Following the release of the Honor Power 2 and the Honor Win series with 10,000mAh batteries, a new tip says that it is also developing a model with a 12,000mAh cell. It is also said to be hiding another device with a dual-cell 10,000mAh battery, which is interesting. The use of a dual-cell technology means the device can be equipped with up to 120W fast charging and prevent overheating. Based on the brand’s past releases, the devices could be part of the Honor X80, Honor Power 3, or the WIN 2 series.
Meanwhile, Oppo could soon unveil the first-ever smartphone to use a 100MP selfie camera. To recall, the highest selfie camera resolution available in the market now is limited to 60MP, found in models like the Huawei Nova 10 Pro, Nova 11 Pro, and Nova 12s. Most flagship models nowadays feature 50MP front cameras with AI integration, so offering a 100MP selfie unit will indeed help Oppo better compete in the market going forward.
