Honor Magic V6 debuts with 500K fold tolerance, IP69 rating, SD 8 Elite Gen 5, 6660mAh cell, more

The Honor Magic V6 is now official, and it impresses in many areas, from its hinge and display durability to battery and more.

The Chinese brand unveiled the new book-style foldable at MWC 2026, where it showed off the phone’s upgrades. As reported earlier, the model features the new Honor Super Steel Hinge, which allows the phone to withstand up to 500,000 folds and unfolds. In an earlier post, the brand even tested the model’s strength when a YouTuber ziplined while his weight hung from it. It also showcased the main display’s barely noticeable crease, with Honor saying it has 44% less crease depth than its earlier foldables.

Even more, it is the first foldable to offer IP68 and IP69 ratings, giving resistance to dust and water. It can also withstand water immersion and high-pressure, high-temperature, and close-range water jets. Despite this, it is light and thin. It weighs 219 grams and measures 8.75mm and 4mm when folded and unfolded, respectively.

It also impresses in other areas, thanks to its Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip, a foldable 1-120Hz AMOLED display, a 64MP periscope telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom, and a huge 6660mAh battery. It also has seven major Android upgrades.

It comes in Red, Gold, White, and Black colorways. However, its pricing is not yet available. According to the brand, it will be officially available in select markets in the second half of the year.
