The Honor Robot Phone has finally arrived, threatening its competitors with its powerful camera system, aided by a built-in titanium gimbal.
It took us almost a year waiting for the phone, but its official unveiling didn’t disappoint. Honor confirmed earlier reports about the device, which features the industry’s smallest 4D titanium gimbal system. According to the brand, it is 65% smaller than conventional gimbals in the market, not to mention that the tool is built into the phone itself.
Moreover, the system is armed with AI, allowing users to adjust the gimbal with voice commands. It also offers real-time auto-framing and AI subject tracking, whether in livestreaming and video calls. Honor further claims that it can be given tasks via the Honor Yoyo AI assistant, with the gimbal head capable of dancing, nodding, and more. To ensure the durability of the gimbal system, Honor also used titanium material for the motor.
The camera department is even more impressive. In addition to the 200MP 1/1.28″ main camera and a 200MP 1/1.4″ periscope telephoto lens with 2.7x optical zoom, the Honor Robot Phone is also a product of the company’s collaboration with ARRI. To this end, the system can deliver cinematic effects, thanks to the Log-C3 video encoding, LUT color grading, and other features.
In other areas, the handheld also impresses, thanks to its Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip, a 6.3″ 1-120Hz OLED, 7060mAh battery, 120W wired and 50W wireless charging, and more.
The Honor Robot Phone is available in gray and silver, with configurations of 12GB/512GB and 16GB/1TB, priced at CN¥9,999 ($1,483) and CN¥12,999 ($1,928), respectively.
