Honor X9d details, design confirmed ahead of Malaysia debut on Sept. 24

Honor has confirmed that it will unveil the Honor X9d model next Wednesday in Malaysia.

The phone will replace the Honor X9c 5G, which arrived in Malaysia in November last year. The upcoming phone still has the same circular camera island on its back, but its design has received some enhancements. The material shared by the company also shows the phone’s Sunlight Gold and Reddish Brown colorways, with the latter sporting some gold coats for its camera island ring and side frames.

In addition to its design, the Honor phone is confirmed to offer an IP69K rating, a huge 8300mAh battery, and a shock-absorbing framework.

The rest of the phone’s details remain unknown, but we expect it to offer a handful of improvements over its predecessor, which offers:

  • Snapdragon 6 Gen 1
  • 8GB/256GB, 12GB/256GB, and 12GB/512GB configurations
  • 6.78” curved OLED with 1,224 x 2,700px and 4000nits peak brightness
  • Rear Camera: 108MP main with OIS + 5MP ultrawide
  • Selfie Camera: 16MP
  • 6600mAh battery
  • 66W charging
  • IP65M rating with 2m drop resistance and a three-layer water resistance structure
  • Wi-Fi 5 and NFC support
